Pop singer-songwriter Emily Dakin - better known as Emme - is a
Canadian artist, known for her soft-pop velvety vocals and genuine lyrics over driving pop beats. Emme gained recognition in the Canadian music scene through her clever lyric writing, memorable melodies and euphonic vocal production that has since become the backbone of her signature sound as an artist.

In 2022, she released her debut album, “Avalanche,” an entirely self-written and self-produced album that not only showcased her versatility, but also her capacity for thematic songwriting and production. With notable tracks such as “Daisies” and “Downhill” circulating local radio stations and generating noteworthy stream counts, Avalanche became a defining and well-recognized project by the public. In the fall of 2022, Emme was recognized as a recipient of the 2022 MusiCounts scholarship and mentorship program for her work on Avalanche and other notable music projects.

She started 2023 strong, slowly beginning the release process for her sophomore album with “Ugly Tears.” As the first single from her next upcoming project, Ugly Tears set the stage for the new Emme era – one filled with drama, love, heartbreak, washy synths, and anthemic choruses. Now partnered with fellow artist, producer, and engineer Brenden Hiebert - otherwise known as Approaching Jupiter - Emme’s sound has never been more ear- catching and euphonic. Together, with Approaching Jupiter’s pop-rock drive and charismatic production, mixed with Emme’s electric and soft vocals, their combined sound sets them apart in the pop music industry and Ugly Tears stands as proof.

Flash forward to the fall of 2023 and the release of “Growing Pains,” Emme dives deeper into her skill as a songwriter. Growing Pains, is a pop/singer-songwriter anthem about the uncomfortable feelings and mental toll that comes from growth, change and healing past traumas. Written from Emme’s personal experience and growth over the past year - a year that came with health challenges, devastating doctor phone calls, anxiety, and sorting through
mistakes and past experiences.

Working hard through 2024, Emme ushers in a new era in 2025 with her second full studio album on the way. A project with newfound growth and maturity as an artist, her sophomore album will be one for the Canadian charts.
